sick, sick call and bad loss
so i'm in a montreal open satellite on FT. 2 seats to next round w/3rd paying cash. this was maybe the single biggest roller coaster ride i ever had in a tourney. up and down and up and down, everybody winning big hands then losing big ones, nobody could make the bubble burst. whiskey has been one of the all-time luckboxes, while flushhead was doing everything possible to donate all his chips to whiskey. then this hand came up...

I'm sick about this one. this flushHead guy was an absolute clown, and did not deserve to get the seat. And whiskey called a raise preflop when he was short/almost out, putting in almost half of the small stack he had left, with K8 off, and caught a 5679 board to stay alive. Then there were the countless hands where flush would throw out a small bet against one of the shorties on the flop, do it again on the turn, then fold the river. he single-handedly kept them alive and ultimately caused my demise. Just makes me SO crazy.

I'm sick about this one. this flushHead guy was an absolute clown, and did not deserve to get the seat. And whiskey called a raise preflop when he was short/almost out, putting in almost half of the small stack he had left, with K8 off, and caught a 5679 board to stay alive. Then there were the countless hands where flush would throw out a small bet against one of the shorties on the flop, do it again on the turn, then fold the river. he single-handedly kept them alive and ultimately caused my demise. Just makes me SO crazy.

good but short night
so I was really tired, wanted to get in a game or 2 but not be stuck playing till 12-1 AM, so I jumped in a $5 sng on tilt. Finished 3rd. got killed by AK in 2 hands. First was calling a short stack all-in w/ak vs. his JJ and I couldn't catch. Busted when I ran my AK into rockets. I was happy though because after the AK-JJ hand I was down under 600 in chips and made my way back up to cash.
then went into a $10, took 2nd on that. Took a hit when I flopped 2 pair in blind v. blind hand, with villain having bottom pair but catching trips on the river. But made up for it later when i caught a miracle gutshot.
so, decent night. Got the roll up to $262 now. I've cashed in I think 8 in a row now, with 4 wins, so things are running well for me. hopefully I can keep it going.

satellites suck!
so i tried an $8 sat to the 50-50. 13 seats w/3 cash spots paid. just couldn't get anything going. finally got an opportunity to push back on a big-stack bully. he was raising when folded to in cutoff, button or SB every time. happened one more time when i had a-high so I shoved and it was small enough that he was committed to call with his rags and I doubled up. tried to just ride it out and pick up pots where i could. got down to the final 3 tables & just tried to survive, but here was the crippler:

wow, I always pride myself on rarely sucking out, usually getting my money in good. Lately though I've been hitting a lot of miracle cards. my turn to be suckout king, for a minute
sick SNG on tilt. i have never had so many big pairs in one sit and go and never sucked out so much in my life
started out good, doubled w/A-10 allin on turn on 10-high board w/nut FD, gutshot didnt get there.
couple hands later KK vs QQ allin preflop, flopped set then dodged Q 4-flush on river
then I got hit, KK vs QQ, Q on flop. looked bleak for me and then it turned...
villain here was the guy who hit the Q on me...

This was very enjoyable for me. As I've shown repeatedly here, I'm usually on the wrong side of these things. The good part is even though I had a lot of suckouts, none of them were bad plays, except possibly for the last hand (although I thought his range was wider than aretha franklin's ass at this point).
and anyway, i was getting it done to me all over the place on spadeclub and bodog. Bodog was great, KK raise big preflop, flop comes 7-high, there's a bet and call then i shove, get called by A7 offsuit, A on river and gg me. at least that was a freeroll. then there was the 1k on spadeclub. follow couple limpers in w/66, get a late minraise and everybody calls so of course i do. flop comes 973 rainbow. check around and miniraiser shoves almost double pot size. i was pretty confident my 6s were good, put him on AK type hand, so i make the call. he shows... AJ! turn - Ace. and just for good measure, river ace too. #@%$#)%*#$%)@#($#(!@_#!@ there is nothing i hate more than making the perfect read and getting punished for it.
